米6米乐体育
Australia’s longest-running trade show for the architecture, building, construction and design industry, 米6米乐体育, has announced its speaker program for 2020 with a focus on reimagining the sectors through innovation, with a particular focus on commercial.
Held across three days from 27-29 October 2020 and aligned with the Total Facilities expo, the 米6米乐体育 speaker program shows the future direction of the industry by utilising digital technology, sustainability measures and design techniques.
Headline speakers at this year’s event include Bronwyn Weir, co-author of the Shergold Weir report, Scott West, design director at Frasers Property, Professor Andrew Harris from Laing O’Rourke and Nick Travers, director at Techne Architecture + Interior Design.
Topics and themes to be explored span the passive house movement, commercial design and construction, adopting building reform, using artificial intelligence and the move to low-carbon products.
Conference director Pia Argiratos says the education component of the event seeks to debate and educate on choices the industry can make today, in technology, process and products, that better align with tomorrow’s needs.
“The education component at 米6米乐体育 2020 this year is in line with reimagining the future direction of the built environment. It is geared toward implementing new technology and environmentally conscious initiatives that align with the best building standards.
“The speakers and topics we have assembled will hopefully help members of the building and design industry achieve the best outcomes today through innovation, expertise and collaboration,” says Argiratos.
This year’s expo theme is ‘Reimagined’ and indicates a new direction for 米6米乐体育 with the addition of a Digital 米乐体育M6app下载ing Zone, encompassing products and talks specific to digitising the sectors. Local and international exhibitors in the Digital 米乐体育M6app下载ing Zone include Bluebeam, 米乐体育M6app下载logic, Ruby Sketch, 2n Telekomunikace and Construction Software.
The Digital 米乐体育M6app下载ing Zone will be shared with Total Facilities, Australia’s largest facilities management exhibition, as the two expos are co-located for the first time, to offer the best across the full spectrum of the built environment.
In another first for 2020, all talks, panel discussions and seminars in the speaker series are free of charge with a 米6米乐体育 registration.
米6米乐体育 will be held on 27-29 October at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event is free to all industry professionals if pre-registered online prior to 21 April, or $25 if registering on the day.
