Escea’s latest product release – the DS1400 gas fireplace – takes away all the bits you don’t need for a gas fire that is truly frameless. New Zealand manufacturer Escea is excited about their new fire, which they describe as “their best yet.”
“With no frame, a large glass viewing area and minimal depth, we’ve made the DS1400 as sleek as possible. All the focus is on the flame, because we know when it comes to a fire, that’s the main attraction,” says Lead Designer, Alex Hodge.
Flexible installation is another big feature of the DS1400, a feature that extends across Escea’s complete product range. Something Alex says is really driven by consumers and responding to their needs.
“The way we live and design homes has changed over history, so the modern fireplace has had to evolve too. Escea’s technology has progressed to the point that even a wall is no longer necessary when it comes to fireplace installation,” explains Alex.
The technology behind this is Escea’s Flexible Flues and Powered Vent technology, which allows flues to run in any direction, no cavity or wall necessary.
The DS1400 puts out 8kW of heat and has a 5 star efficiency rating.
Available from the 1 st of April 2017.
