Established in 1989, the Banksia Foundation is a Melbourne-based not-for-profit that awards sustainable initiatives and achievements across various industries. The group works with environmental scientists, major companies and small businesses to achieve a shared vision for an environmentally conscious future.
The Banksia Awards recognise the innovations and efforts of a diverse range of Australian individuals and businesses, from global health company Kimberly-Clark Australia to the Bondi community waste education group, the Garage Sale Trail Foundation. Last year, the Gold Award was given to the ACT Environment and Planning Directorate for their radically efficient solar renewable energy strategy.
This year, at 米6米乐体育’s networking drinks, Event Manager Ali Mead announced Banksia’s new two-fold sustainability award, launched in association with 米6米乐体育. The Banksia Sustainability in Design, 米乐体育M6app下载 Award has two categories: the first is given to innovative new products for the built environment, and the second awards environmentally considerate buildings, landscapes and infrastructure projects.
Early Bird entries close 17 July 2015. For more information on the Banksia Foundation, and to enter, please visit http://banksiafdn.com/
